8 Year Old Girl Killed in Trucking Accident on I-285 In Atlanta

A chain reaction truck crash on Sunday on Interstate 285 in Atlanta resulted in the tragic death of an eight year old girl. I-285, a very busy highway, was shut down for three hours.

Two trucks and four cars were believed to be involved in the trucking accident and eleven people, including some children, sustained injuries in the auto accident. It has been reported that the chain reaction trucking accident occurred when one of the 18 wheelers jackknifed.

The 18 wheeler accident occurred in the early morning just north of Camp Creek Parkway. Given the severity and extent of the injuries, including the death of the young girl, lawsuits are expected to follow, especially one for the wrongful death of the minor killed.
