Union City Car Accident Results In Three Fatalities

A woman with two children were tragically killed Saturday in a car accident in Union City, outside Atlanta, when another motorist pulled a car onto a highway causing a t-bone collision after being struck by an SUV.

The fatal car accident involved a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling east on South Fulton Parkway that collided with a Chevy Lumina that was turning into traffic. The two children killed were girls, ages 5 and 12.

A 36-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl in the Lumina were airlifted in critical condition to Atlanta Medical Center. The woman later died in the emergency room and the 16 year old remains in the ICU.

The driver of the Chevy Tahoe was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Two Truck Collision In Cobb County In Atlanta Leaves Two Dead

A car accident (wreck) between a tractor trailer truck and a pick-up truck occurred early this morning on the top end of the perimeter in Cobb County, which is in Metro Atlanta. It is reported that a pick-up truck rear ended a tractor trailer truck - big rig - that was on the side of the I-75 ramp leading to I-285 west. Both occupants of the pick-up truck were killed in the car accident and the tractor trailer truck - big rig - burst into flames.

The truck - big rig wreck, which happened on the I-75 ramp leading to I-285, has resulted in the I-75 ramp being closed.

With two dead, a wrongful death claim or lawsuit will probably follow. Whether the driver of the 18 wheeler big rig caused or contributed to the truck accident is unknown and with the car accident having occurred on the highway, the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the truck crash.

Truck Wrecks In Atlanta Make For Messy Morning Commute

A slew of truck accidents around metro Atlanta last Wednesday morning made for a challenging commute for many motorists. One person is reported dead.

Gwinnett County law enforcement report that one person, in particular, was killed in a tractor trailer truck wreck on Georgia Highway 316 near Harbins Road, this according to the Georgia DOT. Assuming liability is established on the part of the at fault motorist, a wrongful death lawsuit may follow.

Well south of the Gwinnett County Truck Wreck, was yet another truck crash on I-85 near Senoia Road. In this tractor trailer truck accident, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes, resulting in several injuries. Medical helicopters later arrived at the truck accident scene to wisk away those injured to local area hospitals.

To not be undone by the previously reported tracter trailer - 18 wheeler truck wreck - big rig accident, was another truck wreck south of Atlanta on I-85 involving a tracter-trailer that became ignited and caught fire because of leaking fuel.

Finally, a tracter-trailer wreck happened in Dekalb County when an 18 wheeler overturned on a ramp leading to I-285 from I-20. According to police, there were no injuries reported and no other cars a part of the truck wreck.

Plane Crash at Madrid Airport Claims 149 Lives

A Spanish Airplane, Spanair Flight JK5022, on the way to the Canary Islands crashed during takeoff at Madrid's Barajas airport tragically killing 149 people. The plane crash, which happened in the afternoon Spanish time, netted 26 survivors according to Spanish emergency officials.

The Spanish Prime Minister who was on holiday at the time of the plane crash, cut his vacation short to head to the accident scene at Madrid's airport.

It is not yet known what caused the plane crash. However, El Pais, Spain's newspaper is reporting that the plane's takeoff was delayed because of technical issues and that the plane crashed near the end of the runway, this according to AENA, Spain's national airport authority.

It is always being reported that the plane involved in the crash was a Boeing MD-82. Whether the plane crash was a result of pilot error or defective mechanism or part of the Boeing MD-82 airplane is yet to be determined. An investigation is underway.

Multi Car Wreck In South Georgia Injures Fifteen

A serious wreck involving multiple vehicles occurred Thursday afternoon near the border of Miller and Decatur Counties on U.S 27 North in Miller County, which is in south Georgia. According to reports, the crash involved a semi-trailer truck, a school bus, a pickup truck and a Mini-van.

Six people were so seriously injured that they were taken by an Emergency Medical Helicopter to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Among those injured was a female pedestrian waiting for the school bus and two kids who were in a Mini-van. In total, there were some fifteen people injured in the multi vehicle crash.

It is believed that a semi-trailer truck rear ended two cars stopped behind a school bus transporting eight children who had just finished school at the Miller County Head Start program.

17 Vietnamese Worshipers Killed In Bus Crash North Of Dallas

The death toll in a bus crash on Friday north of Dallas has reached 17. The chartered bus was carrying Vietnamese worshippers who were on a pilgrimage and the bus crash occurred when the bus ran off a highway overpass. At least 24 people were sent to Dallas area hospitals for treatment.

The bus was on its way from Houston to Missouri and officials suspect a blown tire may be a contributing factor to the bus crash. Incidentally, the bus crashed near where a truck wreck occurred five years ago killing 10 people.

Plane En Route to Georgia Crashes In North Carolina Killing Two

A plane crashed yesterday in North Carolina after taking off from Bowman Field resulting in two deaths. The plane, a twin engine Piper-23 was on its way to Hazlehurst, Georgia and crashed about five miles south of Highlands, North Carolina.

It is not known what the cause of the plane crash is. The FAA is still investigating the incident and the investigation should take some time. An eyewitness, however, did call in to emergency officials and said that she saw a plane spinning in a downward direction.
