Plane Crash In Tennessee Injures Three

Three people were injured when their plane crashed recently during takeoff from the Lewisburg airport in Tennessee. At the time of the plane crash, the plane was about 150 feet in the air. Luckily the passengers were not seriously injured. The same cannot be said of passengers of planes that recently crashed in New Jersey and the Pacific Northwest. The passengers in those plane crashes died and it is too soon to know whether any wrongful death lawsuits have or will be filed.

In the Tennessee plane crash, it is believed that the plane crashed because of engine trouble. After a thorough investigation, it should become clearer what the exact cause of the plane crash was and whether that may pave the way for an injury lawsuit.

Wrongful Death Case Filed Against Boeing Due To Defective Helicopter Part

Following two fatal helicopter crashes in Hawaii over what is believed to be caused by a defective part, Boeing has been sued by a couple from New Hampshire for wrongful death. In the suit, the Plaintiffs claim that a part was defective, which in turn led to the crashes during scenic tours.

The culprit is believed to be a defective "root fitting". Other allegations in the product liability lawsuit include assertions that emergency inspection procedures following the initial helicopter crash, could have avoided subsequent accidents.

The NTSB weighed in stating that they believe the cause of the crash to be the hydraulics. Time will tell and as discovery proceeds, more will become evident as to the specific cause or causes of these tragic helicopter crashes. One thing that will become more evident as the product liability lawsuit progresses is the amount of the medical bills of one of the Plaintiffs injured in the crash- an astounding sum approaching $700,000.

If you or a loved one has been injured or killed in a helicopter crash caused by a defective component, I would invite you to contact my law firm, Sam Levine, Attorney at Law.
